Karla Beltrán was born in México City in 1981, where she began her ballet education at the Mexican Dance Academy (Academia de la Danza Mexicana), an official school from the National Institute of the Fine Arts (Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes). Karla graduated after eight years in 1999 with the degree of Concert Dance Interpreter. During the same year she performed with the National Dance Company (Compañía Nacional de Danza) and joined to the Young Monterrey Ballet (Joven Ballet de Monterrey), under directorship of  Kouloubek Ishenaliev. She also participated in the First International Classical Ballet and Contemporary Congress to participate in classes given by the Master Teacher David Howard.

Along her career Karla has been training with Djamal Ibraimovna and Dimitri Kebets, Irina Provorova, Ludmila Ianson, Tita Ortega, and Guillermo Maldonado.

She was dancing in the company of Solistas de México in 2001 and joined the Ballet de Cámara del Estado de Morelos in 2002. She has also been performing with other companies in México City, such as Danza sin Fronteras and Ardentía and Humanicorp.

She has danced principal roles of ballets like “The Sylphides” (Preludio & pas de deux), “Grand Pas de Quatre”, “The Nutcracker” (Clara & Colombina), “Giselle” (Pas de deux 2nd act), “Swan Lake”(white & black swan pas de deux) , “The Dying Swan” and “Don Quixote”(Kitri). In 2007 Karla joined “Theatre and Ballet of Federico Mastache's Students ” as actress and dancer.
